Aerial Work Platform Operator Safety

The Alberta OHS Code requires that employees operating powered mobile equipment are trained to operate the equipment safely.  The operator must demonstrate competence and be familiar with the manufacturer’s instructions.  The classroom session covers safety issues in detail.  The practical session focuses on hazard assessment, setup, pre-operational inspection, function checks, ground and platform controls, safe operation and emergency lowering.
